Has dating changed that much over the years? Yes, no, maybe so. It depends on who is answering the question. Although there has been some changes in the way people meet, internet dating and so forth, the actual dating process of old is still meshed around our lifestyles, and it doesn't appear to be going anywhere or changing too dramatically anytime soon.

It's still, boy meets girl, asks her out on a date, date until each is satisfied that they are with the person they want to be with, they fall in love, get engaged, get married, and live happily ever after. Yes, no, maybe so. That's how mom and dad did it, grandma and granddad, too.

Well, honestly, things are a little different today. The girls are introducing themselves to the boys, and that's not all, girls are asking the boys to go out with them, and even paying for the night out.

So what is dating? Dating is activity between two individuals who find common ground in which they strive to build a romantic relationship. Going out on one date is different, although it may still be considered a date.

The internet has taken the act of meeting potential dates to a whole new level. You can sit at your computer, log on to any one of a number of internet dating web sites, pick and choose from thousands of potential candidates, then make the contact.

Internet dating is fine, but it sounds much too futuristic. However, time and technology are bringing everybody closer together, and with the ease of sitting at your computer with worldwide information at your fingertips, meeting someone is as simple as 1-2-3.

That sounds easy enough, but most people like dating the old fashion way. They want to meet someone on their own or get an introduction by a friend or family member.
