Quotes are words or statements that are said by, written by, or attributed to a particular person or persons. Quotes are garnered from politicians, business leaders, sports figures, actors and actresses, religious leaders, motivational speakers, authors, poets, comedians, and ordinary people who just happens to say something interesting or profound.

Quotes are often taken from speeches, books, lectures, or biblical and other religious works. They are often used to motivate, inspire, or to evoke emotions and promote self esteem, and they can also be used to make the listener or reader ponder on whatever the subject may be about.

Quotes can be serious, humorous, or just plain everyday conversation. There are literally millions of quotes by millions of people and anyone, famous or not so famous, can say or write something that becomes a part of cultural, popular, and historical folklore.
