Oratorical Contest

Intended use: For undergraduate study at postsecondary institution
Application requirements: Proof of eligibility.
Additional information: Awards: First place, $3,000; second place, $2,000: third place, $1,000.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be a U. S. citizen or permanent resident residing
and attending high school inAlaska. The applicant must also
be sponsored by an American Legion post and participate in
local speech contests. Ask about
other scholarships offered by the
American Legion.

American Council of Engineering Companies Scholarship Type of award: Scholarship, renewable
Intended use: For junior, senior, master's or doctorial study at postsecondary institution. Designated institutions: ABET-accredited engineering programs.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be U.S. citizen residing in Alaska.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in engineering. Applicant must demonstrate seriousness of purpose.
Applicant requirement: Recommendations, essay, transcript, nomination by Council Member Organization.
