Scholarships For Asian Americans

There are many scholarships and grants available to Asian American Students to help pay for college and other higher education degrees. Below is a partial list of scholarships and grants that are given by businesses, the government, private citizens, schools, churches, and other organizations.

OCA-AXA Achievement Scholarships
Type of Award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For freshman study.
Eligibility: Applicant must be Asian American or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permament resident.
Application requirements: Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Basis For Selection: Applicant must demonstate high academic achievement.
Amount of award: $2,000

OCA/UPS Foundation Gold Mountain College Scholarship
Type of Award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time freshman study in the United States.
Eligibility: Applicant must be Asian American or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander. Appicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Application requirements: Essay, resume, FAFSA.
Additional information: Minimum 3.0 GPA.

NABA National Scholarship Program
Type of Award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate or master's study at 4-year or graduate institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be Asian American, Alaskan native, African American, Mexican American, Hispanic America, Puerto Rican, or American Indian.
Application requirements: Essay, Transcripts, Resume. Check website for other requirements.
Additional information: Major/career interest in accounting; business or finance/banking. applican must demonstrate depth of character, leadership and service orientation.
Amount of award: $1,000-$10,000

American Meteorological Society/Industry Minority Scholarship
Type of Award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time freshman study at accredited 4-year institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be Asian American, Alaska native, African American, Mexican American, Hispanic American, Puerto Rican or American Indian. Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Application requirements: Recommendations, Transcript, SAT scores.

Fisher Broadcasting Company Scholarship for Minorities
Type of award:
Scholarship
Intended Use: For full-time sophomore, junior, or senior study at accredited 2-year or 4-year institution in United States
Eligibility: Applicant must be Asian American, African American, Alaska native, Mexican American, Hispanic American, American Indian, or Native Hawiian/Pacific Islander. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in engineering with high academic achievement.
Application requirements: Essay, Recommendations, transcript, proof of eligibility. Applicant must provide estimated expense/income worksheet.
Additional information: Applicant must have career interest in broadcast communications. Amount of award varies each year. Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. For school use in Washington, California, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, or for students with permanent addresses in those states who attend school out of state.
