Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: Scholarship for
undergraduate study at accredited 2-year or 4-year institution in United States.
Eligibility: Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Florida.
Application requirements: Applicant must submit proof of eligibility, nomination by high school principal, adult education director, or school district superintendent.
Additional information: Nomination based on cumulative unweighted GPA multiplied by ACT score.

Mary McLeod Bethune Scholarship

Intended use: Scholarship for
full-time undergraduate study at accredited 4-year institution in United States. Designated institutions: Bethune-Cookman University, Edward Waters College, Florida A&M University, and Florida Memorial University.
Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Florida.
Additional information: Minimum 3.0 high school GPA.

Application requirements: Applicant must submit essay, transcript, proof of eligibility, proof of residency, finanancial statement and resume.
Additional information: Applicant must have at least one year of culinary experience and have high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must maintain a B-GPA.

Bob East Scholarship Fund

Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Florida.
Intended use: Scholarship for
undergraduate study at accredited postsecondary institution in United States or Canada.
Application requirements: Applicant must submit portfolio, recommendations, essay. Portfolio must include at least five single images in addition to picture story.
Additional information: Open to students studying photojorunalism for newspapers. Must be undergraduate in first three and one half years of college, or be planning to pursue postgraduate work and offer indication of acceptance in such program.
