Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship
Idaho State Board of Education
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable
Intended use: For full-time freshman study at 2-year or 4-year institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be a high school senior. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Idaho.

Idaho Minority/"AT-Risk"Scholarship
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at postsecondary institution. Designated institutions: Boise State University, Brigham Young University-Idaho, Idaho State University, North idaho College, Eastern Idaho Technical College, Lewis-Clark State College, Northwest Nazarene University, University of Idaho, College o Southern Idaho, College of Western Idaho, The College of Idaho.
Eligibility: Applicant must be a high school senior. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Idaho.
Application requirements: Applicant must be U.S. citizen residing in Idaho.
Additional information: Must be graduate of Idaho high school. Have substantial financial need; Must meet three of the following criteria: be first generation college student; be disabled; be member of ethnic minority historically underrepresented in higher education in Idaho (of Native American, African American, or Hispanic American descent).

American Legion Idaho Scholarships
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at accredited postsecondary institution in United States. Eligibility requirements: Applicant or parent must be member/participant of American Legion. Applicant must be residing in Idaho.
Application requirements: Proof of eligibility.
Additional information: Grandchildren of American Legion members and children and grandchildren of American Legion Auxiliary members in Idaho are also eligible.

GPA and be in top ten percent of
graduating class.

Earl Dedman Memorial Scholarship
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time sophomore, junior or senior study at accredited 4-year institution in United States or Canada.
Eligibility requirements: Applicant must be U.S. citizen, permanent resident or Canadian citizen. Applicant must be residing in Idaho, Washington, Momtana, Oregon, or Wyoming.
Application requirements: Recommendations, Transcript.
Additional information: Minimum 3.0 GPA. Career interest in becoming a greenhouse grower required.

Eligibility Requirements:
This award is given to support the postsecondary education of dependent children of Idaho veterans who are listed as a prisoner of war or missing in action. Each scholarship provides a full waiver of tuition and fees at public vocational institution in Idaho.
Oratorical Contest
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at accredited postsecondary institution in United States.
Eligibility requirements: Applicant must be enrolled in high school. Applicant must be residing in Idaho.
Application requirements: Competition/talent/interest in oratory/debate, based on language style; voice, diction, delivery, originality, logic, breadth of knowledge, application of knowledge about topic, and skill in selecting examples and analogies.
Amount of award: $100-$700
