Marine Technology Scholarships

Additional Information: You must use the scholarship money in the 2011-2012 academic year. Scholarship money is sent to college Bursar Offices, not to scholarship recipients.

Harold P. Rawlings Guaranteed Access Grant
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at accredited postsecondary institution.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be U.S.citizen or permanent resident residing in Maryland. Must have minimum 2.5 GPA. Proof of eligibility, FAFSA.
Additional information: Applicant must be high school senior who has completed college perparatory program or has graduated prior to the academic year and provides written documentation explaining why he or she was unable to attend college within one year of graduation from high school.
Amount of award: $400-$14,300

Intended use: For undergraduate study at 2-year or 4-year accredited postsecondary institution.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be female, at least 16, no older than 22. Applicant must be residing in Maine. Applicant must be daughter/step daughter, granddaughter/step-granddaughter, great-granddaughter/step-great-granddaughter of ex-serviceman or ex-servicewoman.
Additional information: For RN degree only.

Award given to a female surveying student. Applicant must be enrolled full or part-time at a two or four-year institution or university. Scholarship for use in freshman. sophomore, junior or senior year in college.
Maryland Distinguished Scholar: Achievement
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable
Intended use: For undergraduate study at 2-year or 4-year accredited postsecondary institution. Designated Maryland institutions.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be high school junior. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Maryland.
Additional information: Applicant must provide transcript. Nomination by high school. SAT scores from tests taken in January of junior year or earlier. PSAT or ACT scores may be submitted if student has not taken SAT 1.
