New York State Robert C. Byrd Federal Honors Scholarship Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at accredited 2-year or 4-year institution in United States.
Eligibility Requirements: For public and non-public high
school students with 3.5 GPA
or higher. Must be thirty and
under, planning to enroll full
time at a two or four year New
York state college or university.
Nominees will be selected by
high school and will be
notified by the State
Department of Education.
Application requirements: Nomination by high school.
Additional information: Must have 1875 SAT score, minimum 95 average, or 410 GED score.

Eligibility: Applicant or parent must be member/participant of Ameircan Legion auxiliary. applicant must be no older than 19, high school senior. Applicant must be residing in New York. applicant must be descendant of veteran or dependent of veteran.

New York State World Trade Center Memorial Scholarship
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at 2-year or 4-year institution. Approved New York colleges and universities. Application requirements: Proof of eligibility, FAFSA, Express TAP Application
Eligibility: Must be child, spouse, or financial dependent of person who died or became severely and permanently disabled due to the September 11th attacks or rescue and recovery operation.

Awards given to minority students who are declared accounting majors with an overall GPA of 3.3. Applicant must be a minority enrolled full-time at a creddited university. Award for use in junior or senior years.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be enrolled full-time at a two-year or four-year institution or university. Award available to those who family belongs to the Northeastern Loggers Association or family member is an employee of the Industrial and Associate members of the Northeastern Loggers Association.
New York State Veterans Tuition Award
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For undergraduate or graduate study at accredited vocational, 2-year or 4-year institution in the United States. Designated institutions; Approved postsecondary schools in New York.
Eligibility: Applicant must be returning adult student. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in New York.
Additional information: Applicant must be veteran during Persian Gulf War or Vietnam. Must have served in armed forces in hostilities in Indochina between December 1961 and May 1975, or in Persian Gulf on or after August 2, 1990. Veterans of the Afghanistan conflict also eligible.

Eligibility: Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be residing in New York.
Additional information: One student from every participating public and private high school in New York State is awarded scholarship.
