Honors Scholarship
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time freshman study at accredited postsecondary institution in United States.
Eligibility Requirements:
For full time freshman study at
accredited two year or four year
college or university. Applicant
must be a high school senior, a
U.S. citizen or permanent
resident residing in
Pennsylvania and maintain a
3.5 GPA or higher. Application requirements: Transcript. SAT/ACT or GED scores.
Additional information: Applicant must rank in top five percent of class, have minimum 3.5 GPA, 1150 SAT (Math and Reading) or 25 ACT, or 3550 GED. Must graduate from high school same year scholarship is awarded.

American Legion High School Oratorical Contest

Eligibility: Applicant must be enrolled in high school. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in Pennsylvania.
Additional information: Competition/talent/interest in oratory/debate, based on language style, voice,diction, delivery, originality, logic, breadth of knowledge, application of knowledge about topic, and skill in selecting examples and analogies.
