There are many scholarships and grants available to Female Students to help pay for college and other higher educational learning experiences. Below is a partial list of scholarships and grants that are given by businesses, the government, private citizens, schools, churches, and other organizations.
Top 10 College Women Competition
Type of Award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time junior study at accredited 4-year institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be female.
Application requirements: Transcript, list of activities, recomendations, essay, black and white or color photograph.
Additional information: Award includes trip to New York City.
Amount of award: $3,000

Women in Architecture Scholarship
Type of Award: Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For full-time sophomore, junior, senior or graduate study at 4-year or graduate institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be female. Must be residing in California.
Application requirements: Portfolio, Transcript, SASE, recomendations, essay.
Additional information: Must be California resident or attending accredited California school to qualify. Students may also be studying in the following majors: land planning, environmental design, architectural rendering and illustrating. Must have completed 18 units in major by application due date. Applications may be downloaded from website.

Past President's Parley Nursing Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicant or parent must be member/participant of American Legion Auxiliary. Applicant must be female. Applicant must be residing in Indiana.

B.J. Harrod Scholarships
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended Use: For full-time freshman study at accredited 4-year institution in United States
Eligibility: Applicant must be female, high school senior. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in engineering with high academic achievement.
Application requirements: Essay, transcript, proof of eligibility. Two letters of reference: one from a high school teacher, one from a person who knows the applicant but not a family member.
Additional information: Applicant must plan to enroll in an ABET-or CSAB accredited program.

Miss America Competition Awards
Type of award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For undergraduate, graduate or non-degree study at accredited postsecondary institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be single, female, at least 17, no older than 24. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Basis for selection: Competition/talent/interest in poise/talent/fitness. Applicant must demonstrate high depth of character, leadership, patriotism, seriousness of purpose and service orientation.
Application requirements: Proof of eligibility.
Additional information: Local winners go on to compete for Miss America. Cash and tuition-based scholarships available at ever level of competition. Deadlines for local competitions vary. Contact Miss America Organization for more information or visit website.

The Grotto Scholarships
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at 2-year or 4-year institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be single, female, no older than 30.
Basis for selection: Major/career interest in dentistry.
Application requirements: recommendations, personal letter, transcript, proof of eligibility.
Additional information: Applicant must be member of Job's Daughters. Job's Daughters activities, financial self-help, and achivements outside of Job's daughters are also factors in awarding scholarships. Minimum 2.5 GPA.
