South Carolina Need-Based Grants Program
Type of award: Scholarship.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at vocational, 2-year or 4-year institution. Designated institutions: Eligible South Carolina institutions.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in South Carolina.
Application requirements: FAFSA.
Additional information: Applicant may receive award for maximum eight full-time equivalent terms or until degree is earned, whichever is less. Must enroll in at least 12 credit hours per semester if full-time or six if part-time.
Amount of award: $1,250-$2,500

Life Scholarship Program
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at vocational, 2-year or 4-year institution. Designated institutions: Eligible South Carolina institutions.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in South Carolina. Applicant must graduate from high school as South Carolina resident.
Application requirements: Transcript, ACT/SAT scores.
Additional information: First-time entering freshman at four-year institutions must meet two of three criteria: 3.0 high school GPA on Uniform Grading Policy(UGP); minimum 1100 SAT or 24 ACT; rank in top 30 percent of graduating class. First-time entering freshman at two-year institution must have 3.0 high school GPA on UGP.
Amount of award: $5,000
Application deadline: No application required.

American Legion South Carolina Auxiliary Scholarship
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For undergraduate study at postsecondary institution.
Eligibility: Applicant or parent must be member/participant of American Legion Auxiliary. Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be residing in South Carolina.
Additional information: Applicant must be American Legion Auxiliary junior or senior member with at least three consecutive years' membership at time of application. Applicant must have current membership card.

Charleston Women in International Trade Scholarship

American Legion South Carolina Department Oratorical Contest
Type of award: Scholarship
Intended use: For undergraduate study at postsecondary institution.
Eligibility: Applicant must be enrolled in high school. Applicant must be residing in South Carolina.
Additional information: Competition/talent/interest in oratory/debate, based on language style, voice, diction, delivery, originality, logic, breadth of knowledge, application of knowledge about topic, and skill in selecting examples and analogies.

Palmetto Fellows Scholarship
Program
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable.
Intended use: For full-time undergraduate study at 4-year institution. Designated institutions: Eligible South Carolina institutions.
Eligibility Requirements: Award to South Carolina resident
high school senior with a 3.5 GPA
or higher and score at least 1200
on the SAT or 27 on the ACT.
Student must enroll in a four year
college or university in
South Carolina.
Application requirements: Transcript, ACT/SAT scores.
Additional information: Mimimum 1200 SAT (Math and Reading) or 27 ACT, 3.5 GPA on the South Carolina Uniform Grading Policy, and rank in top six percent of class.
