Intended use: For full-time freshman study at vocational, 2-year or 4-year institution in United States.
Eligibility: Applicant must be high school senior. Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in West Virginia.
Application requirements: Transcript, proof of eligibility, nomination by high school, SAT or ACT scores.
Additional information: Students should apply through their high school counselor.

Type of Award: Scholarship
Intended use: For full-time junior, senior, or graduate study at 4-year postsecondary institution.

Additional information: Undergraduate applicants must have cumulative 3.25 GPA; graduate students must rank in top 10 percent of class or have 3.5 GPA.

West Virginia War Orphans Educational Assistance
Type of award: Scholarship, renewable
Intended use: For undergraduate, graduate or non-degree study in United States.
Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen residing in West Virginia. Applicant must be at least 16, no older than 25. Applicant must be dependent of deceased veteran who served in the Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard or Reserves/National Guard. Applicant's parent must be veteran who was killed while on active duty during wartime or who died of injury or illness resulting from wartime service.
Application requirements: Proof of eligibility.
Additional information: Award is waiver of tuition and registration fees for West Virginia residents attending a West Virginia school.

Eligibility: Applicant must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in West Virginia. Application requirement: FAFSA Additional information: Merit-based scholarship; all eligible applicants will receive award. Minimum 22 composite ACT, with scores of at least 20 in math, science, English, and reading, or 1020 SAT (Math and Reading) with minimum 480 Math and 490 Reading. Miminum 3.0 GPA.
