USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor

On Sunday, December 7, 1941, the Japanese navy launched
a surprise attack on the U.S Naval installation and other targets around
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The battleship USS Arizona and other naval
vessels were sunk. This mooring is part of the Arizona Memorial which is a
National Historic Landmark that serves as a tribute to the 1,177 lives that were lost
aboard the ship.
